Once again I had the pleasure to work for Rasoulution, this time at the Big in Bavaria competition. The whole event is an addition to the Bike Expo trade fair held in Munich.
Kolejny raz miałem przyjemność pracować dla Rasoulution, tym razem przy zawodach Big In Bavaria. Cały event jest dodatkiem do targów Bike Expo odbywających się w Monachium.
My stay in Munich lasted 4 days. On the first day an additional pre-qualification for anyone who wanted to take part in major competitions took place. What's interesting is that additional jumps have been built specifically for those pre-qualifications. Bartek "Pope" Obukowicz participated in them and without the slightest problem scored very good 4th place. The winner was the Czech twin brother of Brandon Semenuk - Jakub Vencl.
Mój pobyt w Monachium trwał 4 dni. Pierwszego odbywały się dodatkowe pre-kwalifikacje dla każdego, kto chciał wziąć udział w głównych zawodach. Co ciekawe specjalnie na nie zostały zbudowane dodatkowe hopy. Z Polaków startował w nich Bartek "Papież" Obukowicz i bez najmniejszych problemów zdobył bardzo dobre, 4 miejsce. Wygrał czeski brat bliźniak Brandona Semenuka - Jakub Vencl.
It was raining heavily over the next two days (which were meant for training and qualification). Instead of riding, there was football, volleyball, events and many other attractions (some of them better not mentioned publicly).
Przez całe następne dwa dni (przeznaczone na treningi i kwalifikacje) mocno padało. Zamiast jazdy były piłkarzyki, siatkówka, imprezy i wiele innych atrakcji o których lepiej nie wspominać publicznie.
On the fourth day, fortunately, we were greeted by a strong sun and to the surprise of many, the competition actually took place. Although usually the opposite is true, the MTB category was the one who provided the best thrills. At the same time as Big in Bavaria, the Dew Tour competitions took place in the U.S. so most of the pro bmx riders went there. There isn't really much to say about the rides themselves, because you can see the most interesting ones in the following videos.
Dzień czwarty na szczęście przywitał nas mocnym słońcem i ku zaskoczeniu wielu, udało się rozegrać zawody. Chociaż zazwyczaj jest odwrotnie, to kategoria MTB dostarczyła większych emocji. W tym samym czasie co Big In Bavaria odbywały się zawody Dew Tour w USA i większość pro bmx udała się właśnie tam. O samych przejazdach nie ma się co specjalnie rozpisywać bo co ciekawsze akcje możecie obejrzeć w poniższych filmikach.
After returning home and having a good night sleep, it was Monday, 5pm. Two clips (bmx and mtb separately) were to be completed by 9am on Thursday. It seemed impossible to me, but apparently a large number of different types of energy drinks can work miracles.
Jako ciekawostkę podam, że po powrocie do domu i odespaniu podróży, był poniedziałek, godzina 17. Dwa klipy (oddzielnie bmx i mtb) miały zostać oddane o 9 rano w czwartek. Wydawało mi się to niemożliwe ale jednak duża ilość różnego rodzaju napojów energetycznych potrafi zdziałać cuda.
And finally, the effect of my trip, two clips - MTB and BMX. They both have several common elements, but the organizers wanted to show the two disciplines separately.
Na koniec efekt mojego wyjazdu czyli dwa klipy - MTB i BMX. Mają one kilka wspólnych elementów ale organizatorom zależało na pokazaniu obu dyscyplin oddzielnie.
